Testimonials From Sue – Dear Kind Cafe, Your food is delicious, creative and fills a unique niche in Philadelphia restaurants. Everything is so fresh: it lifts me up and doesn't weigh me down. And your crew is terrific: smart and interesting, and friendly. You've got a great thing going there; I hope you continue to thrive and grow. From Kenneth – I wanted to share my extraordinary healing experience since applying your advice . It has been approximately 2 months since i was in such great pain in every part of my body that I literally thought I might be dying. Fortunately i sought your advice as a last resort before consulting a medical doctor . You have a wonderful gift and that you freely shared it speaks volumes about your character ! After the first two weeks of following your advice to the letter I started noticing that every day i seemed to be getting better and better. I started sleeping more peacefully because the pain had been so reduced that it wasn't keeping me awake anymore. After 4 weeks i was able to walk a block with some minor discomfort , which was remarkable because only a month prior, walking to my bathroom was an extremely painful experience. After 6 weeks i was able to walk over a mile through the parks of Philadelphia with no pain and my wife had a hard time keeping up with me. Now it has been two months since seeking your advice. On a pain scale of 1 to a 1000 (with a 1000 representing the worst pain ) I can happily say I am at a 1.
Words cannot express the gratitude i
feel in my heart toward you for sharing your wisdom and knowledge to
help another soul on this miraculous journey called life. From Jana – Fasting is a valuable health tool that KC taught me and I am so very grateful I learned about it. A lot of people sort of freak out when they hear you are fasting, but it makes a lot of sense if you think about it in the big picture sense. Animals do not eat when they are sick. You lose your appetite when you are sick. All sorts of religions involve fasts. Fasting allows the innate wisdom of your body to focus on healing itself (digesting all sorts of toxins and dead cells) rather than putting energy into digesting new food. During all my experiences below I was being advised and guided by KC, who was my nutrition counselor. I began fasting as a way to help treat Candida (an overgrowth of yeast in the gut that is a result of too much sugar in the diet or too much antibiotics or too much birth control, etc.) The first day fast I did was hard, you start the day off well with tons of energy but by the end of the day I would get spacey and my vision would start to get blurred. Drinking lots of herbal tea and lemon water helps to keep you going on fasting days b/c its washes those toxins out of your system so you feel less crappy. I now fast once a week and it feels great - I feel light and have more energy on fasting days (everyone knows how too much food slows you down b/c your body is using its energy to digest all that food). In the beginning fasting takes getting used to and having the ability to take a nap or just chill if needed is key to helping your body heal itself (or so you dont keel over) especially if you are on a more prolonged fast. I found this out when I did a 60 hour fast.
I did this fast after having been on
an anti-Candida diet and detox regime for 2 and 1/2 months.
During my more prolonged fast, I felt great the first day, however
by the second day I started to feel fluish. (Which makes sense -
when you get flu-like symptoms its really your body using all its
resources to kill off bad. Having had this epiphany I realize
that all those drugs on the market that suppress your bodies natural
healing tendencies are so dangerous to your health) I went through
periods of fever-like hot spells (your body trying to kill off
foreign antibodies, digest old cells etc,) followed by chills (your
metabolism slowing down to allow you to conserve your energy).
I started to feel a little depressed and blue and just needed to
sleep and nap and chill out. When I broke my fast on the third
day - I ate simple foods (steamed cabbage and tomatoes) and the
minute I ate I started to feel better. I got really hot (my
metabolism recharging itself) which felt great after getting so cold
and I felt my systems flowing again. The next day my skin was
glowing and my elimination was really regular Its really empowering
to know I have control over my own health to take preventive,
proactive measures rather then waiting till I am sick or my body is
in a state of dis-ease. I decide to fast when I know I have
the time to chill out and detox. Rather then getting slammed by a
cold or the flu (or worse) when I least expect it. I'm working with
my body - not against it - something so many of us do without even
realizing it. Also, not only are my Candida symptoms improving - I
haven't gotten sick once this whole winter/flu season - not even the
sniffles. From Dora –
